Jaden's 8th birthday is coming up soon - it's only one week away! But we kicked off the celebrating a week early . . . enjoying a birthday cookout with Grandma and Grandpa Martin and Pastors Jay and Margie.
Jaden is finally "grown-up" enough to appreciate the messages written in cards (and he read the cards before reaching for the presents)!
The big hit so far . . . LEGO Super Heroes kits!
Just what he wanted!
Pastor Jay tried (albeit unsuccessfully) to convince Jaden to give him the Toys R Us gift card that he received from Grandma and Grandpa . . . little did he know that Jaden has that earmarked for what else? More LEGOs!
After blowing out the candles, Jaden gladly shared his chocolate cake with peanut butter icing (and green and white sprinkles) with everyone . . . while he started working on his LEGO Super Heroes kit)!
Happy "almost-birthday", Jaden (pictured here with Grandma and Grandpa)! Looking forward to a fun week leading up to May 14th!
