We had a pretty laid-back 4th of July celebration this year because Lael was just getting home from camp. So after our yummy cookout -- hamburgers, Nathan's hot dogs, caesar pasta salad, corn on the cob and strawberry shortcake, we headed outside for a bit of fun . . .
It was the first time that the kids had seen sparklers, and they enjoyed them immensely!
Daddy got some "flash" fireworks -- they didn't make any noise, but they sure were bright!
Our Family Time lesson this week was about how we are to be lights for Jesus. We talked about how bright our sparklers were when we had them outside in the dark and how that reminds us that Jesus needs Christians who will shine their "lights" for Him by showing love to others.
So we're looking for ways to be "fireworks for Jesus" . . . will you join us?
